The Trolley Problem

In my last post Courage, I wrote about a dilemma about euthanizing a pet over a human being. That got me thinking about the different dilemmas that arise from it. One such dilemma that came to mind was the Trolley Problem. It is one of the most famous thought experiments and is also used in various courses including psychology, philosophy, ethics, etc. Even self driving cars are trained on these examples to make critical decisions on the road.

I created this last year. Although in this case pulling the lever is the safe bet because Snorlax can’t get hurt 😅

The Trolley Problem

So I thought of creating a game with various situations and ask you what you would do in such a situation. In each situation, you can pull a lever to change the course of the trolley or do nothing. Some of these situations will be variations of the original Trolley Problem and some will be my own variations. And they are weird as hell 😛. The premise is simple. If you think the trolley should continue on its current path, just press “Do nothing” otherwise Pull the lever. I have also recorded my own answers and it will show in each level. It was fun creating this.
