After an entire day of fixing a stupid bug in the code, my mind is exhausted. I want to write a lot today, but I am not sure if I will remember everything by the time I am in the middle of it. But that’s the whole point of this blog, right? To write whatever comes to my mind. I can always come back later to spill some more.
So, to start with the general updates, the first thing is that I FINALLY joined a gym. I signed up on Saturday and went yesterday and today. I go in the morning before work and, not going to lie, it’s going pretty well (except for the fact that I am super sore right now). It’s still early days, but I am hopeful that I will be able to stick with it. I thought I would feel tired the whole day, but surprisingly, I’ve been feeling pretty energetic. Exercise does lift the mood, as they say.
Next, I have started preparing for the renovation. I selected the tiles and some other things on Saturday. Once everything is finalized, I will start the process. It will be difficult, but once it’s done, it will be worth it. Because of these two commitments, I won’t be able to achieve my third goal of learning to drive, which I had planned to do for a little while. Since I will be going to the gym early in the morning and spending the rest of the day overseeing the renovation, it won’t be possible for me to take driving lessons. Once the renovation is complete, I will make some time.
Yesterday, I went to watch Project Hail Mary in the afternoon. It was such a nice film—quite refreshing, and the story was very engaging. I was hooked from the beginning. I can’t believe they made me cry (quite literally) for a freaking ROCK.
I won’t spoil the movie here with detailed plot points, but I highly recommend it. There were two dialogues that I really liked—so much so that I even noted them down.
Grace - “How long have you known your mate?”
Rocky - “186.3 years.”
Grace - “You’ve been together a long time.”
Rocky - “Is not enough.”
and the other one…
Grace - “Goodbye.”
Rocky - “Don’t understand word.”
Grace - “It means see you later.”
Rocky - “But I won’t see you later.”
Grace - “I know.”
Rocky - “Rocky watch crew die. Could not fix. Grace say Grace will die. Rocky fix.”
…and I have a lump in my throat just from writing this. I will draw Rocky tonight.
Even though I had no plans for this long weekend, it turned out pretty well and kept me occupied. Also, a few days ago, I saw the pictures from the Artemis II mission and I was in awe. I wanted to write about it too, but I have a meeting now, so I will save it for another day. Too much yapping for today. Hopefully, the title of this post makes sense now. And about the description—you’ll have to see the movie to understand it 👎👎👎👎. Amaze! Amaze! Amaze!
