Went to bangalore last week. I got a call on 30th June from my office to come and collect the laptop. While there was no hurry, I felt like going as early as possible. So I booked a flight for the next day which costed me a lot but hey at least I could be at my happy place. I went there on 5th July and came back on 12th. This time I stayed in a bnb which was closer to office as I did not want to travel for long. On Sunday, I arrived around 4pm and just stayed in the room. On monday, I thought of going to office but none of my colleagues were coming so I skipped as well. I went on Tuesday and collected my new laptop. I love my office! The environment is peaceful and everyone is friendly. There is so much greenery and stuff to do. There’s a mini golf course, basketball court, gym, pool and what not. But maybe it all looks cool because I don’t go there everyday? Someone asked me a very similar thing. I was talking about northern lights and they asked - suppose northern lights were common everywhere in the world and I could only see clouds in the Artic, would I want to go and see the clouds? Is it really the northern lights that are attractive to me or is it just the fact that I don’t get to see it so often? Something I need to think about.
Anyways, I went again on Wednesday as well because sitting in the bnb would be boring. Had a nice talk with my lead and got to know how happy they are with my work and that’s why they don’t mind me not shifting to bangalore. Then, on Thursday I had to go get my phone repaired. I didn’t take leave but just took my laptop with me. I got my phone repaired, went to Indiranagar to shop and then came back. In the night I went to a nearby Nexus mall to again shop for mt friends. On Friday, I planned to meet Kirti in the evening. I went to Sarjapur to a place called Gladia. It is a greek themed brewery and it was so beautiful. I stayed there for 2 hours and we talked about a lot of things including how her marriage is going on, about work, future and so on. It was really nice meeting her. I gave her some assortment of gifts and postcards that I was saving for a long time.
Then on Saturday, Pari had made plans for the whole day so I went to meet her. We went to Church street. First, to Matteo where we had coffee. Then we went to Blossoms and did some shopping for books. It was almost afternoon and we were hungry so we went to Hard Rock which was nearby. Had a good time there and we gossiped about new things in our lives. She mentioned that she is finally seeing someone after her breakup. After that we again did some street shopping. She bought me a lot of action figures. Then we went and had icecream at Milano. We were sitting outside and eating icecream and it was very crowded so some girl came and sat next to me and Pari started saying loudly - “you should’ve told me that you were coming with someone else” and I GOT SO EMBARRASSED. She never misses a chance to embarras me in public. Then before leaving she gave a gift. It was a handmade painting of The Little Prince. I loved it. My return flight was on Sunday morning and that was it. A very short trip but had a lot of fun. I had work back in Patna otherwise would’ve stayed a little longer. The weather was just awesome. It used to be cloudy and windy whole day.
